EasyAmt
An AI app that turns German bureaucracy into plain language and helps people fill out official forms. 2nd place at Samsung Solve for Tomorrow.
The idea
Government paperwork is hard for everyone, and for some people it’s a real barrier. If you’re visually impaired, new to the language, or just not used to how official German is written, a single letter from an authority can block access to services you’re entitled to.
We knew that frustration firsthand. EasyAmt started as our answer to it.
What it does
EasyAmt takes a complex official document and makes it understandable:
- it explains what the document actually says, in plain language,
- it tells you what is being asked of you,
- it helps you fill out the form correctly.
Solve for Tomorrow
I built EasyAmt with Leon Beckert and Ábel Nagy while working at Arana AI, for Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2024, a program where young teams use technology to tackle real social problems. We refined the concept throughout the program and finished in 2nd place. After which market challenges made it difficult to continue development of the app. I hope to one day return to the idea.
